PA Air National Guard Wings Enhance Ops Through Iron Keystone Exercise:

Nearly all airmen assigned to the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s (PAANG) three wings took part in Exercise Iron Keystone 2024 across the commonwealth - and other locations - with more than 90 from the 193rd Special Operations Wing taking part in the exercise’s second year at a simulated forward operating base in northern New York.

Free Guided Tours Of Rare Butterfly Habitat Still Available At Fort Indiantown Gap:

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) wildlife staff during July is providing free guided tours of the only population of the rare regal fritillary butterfly in the eastern United States at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County.

PA National Guard's Oldest Air Unit Turning 100:

The 111th Attack Wing’s 103rd Attack Squadron traces its lineage to the 103rd Observation Squadron, which was established on June 27, 1924, as a unit of the Army’s 28th Division.

Military veterans and servicemembers, from World War II to those currently serving were greeted by crowds of people lining the streets of Lewisburg for the annual veterans' parade.

Presidential Proclamation On Certain Violations Of Article 125 Under The Uniform Code Of Military Justice:

On June 26, 2024, President Joe Biden issued a proclamation that gave a full and unconditional pardon to individuals with court-martial convictions under former Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for conduct that involved consensual, private acts with persons aged 18 or older. 

VA Releases Updated Climate Adaptation And Resilience Plan:

VA joined more than 20 federal agencies to release its updated 2024-2027 Climate Adaptation Plan and expand the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to ensure federal operations are increasingly resilient to climate change impacts.

Improving The HUD-VASH Homeless Program At Barrier Busting Boot Camps:

If two heads are better than one, why not try hundreds? This simple idea is why staff and partners who work with the HUD-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program were invited to a series of brainstorming boot camps nationwide regarding veteran homelessness to put the idea to the test.

VA Enhances Claim Status Tool For Improved Veteran Experience:

VA’s Claim Status Tool allows veterans to quickly view the status of their VA claim, decision review or appeal online through VA.gov. 

Screening, Treatment Can Improve The Lives Of Veterans With PTSD:

Since 2014, VA has sponsored PTSD Awareness Month to educate the public on the mental health condition that affects an estimated six out of 100 Americans and seven out of 100 veterans.
