Pennsylvanians Can Apply For Health Care Opportunities Available At The Southwestern Veterans' Center (SWVC):

The SWVC is looking to hire registered nurses, registered nurse supervisors, licensed practical nurses, and nurse aides. Onsite interviews and conditional offers may be made the day of the event. 

National Guard Trains At Bloomsburg University:

Nearly two dozen National Guardsmen worked through a simulated attack in hazmat suits and tactical gear on the upper campus of Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg recently.

PA Guard Inaugural WOCS Graduation:

Eighteen U.S. soldiers recently graduated from Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS), 15 being pinned the rank of Warrant Officer 1 and three receiving certificates of eligibility until they locate warrant officer positions to appoint into.

Students Receive Reply From Service Member:

Elementary students wrote letters, thanking U.S. Air Force Capt. Susan Penning for her service to country, but they were surprised when they received something in return. Not only did she take the time to send the students a certificate of appreciation, but she was also kind enough to write a letter in return. 

Bucks County Has A Veteran Response Team:

The Bucks County Veteran Response Team (VRT) is Veterans Helping Veterans: a dedicated network of law enforcement officers with military service working together with social services to support veterans (and their families).

Welcome Home Celebration Honors Bucks County Veterans:

The Bucks County Tour of Honor provided an all-expense-paid trip for county veterans Monday and then welcomed them home with a celebration and dinner hosted by Parx Casino.

CBS 21 Day Of Caring: Supporting Veterans Of PA And Derby Day:

Officials from Veterans Outreach say that Greystone Derby Day, held in Dillsburg, PA, is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and all the money raised is set to go towards a tiny home complex that began construction last year.

Survey Shows Trust Rises Among Veteran Patients At Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center:

The Department of Veterans Affairs announced that veteran trust at Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center has risen to 94.3% - up from 87.9% in 2018.

Lebanon Valley Chamber Of Commerce To Host Military Appreciation Breakfast:

Join the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce at Hebron Banquet Hall on May 1 at 7:30 a.m. as they host a military appreciation breakfast for members of the armed services. The breakfast includes commemoration of the 2024 General Frank Smoker Beyond the Call Award Winner, and words from keynote speaker, Jared Kreiser, a Lebanon County resident who served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
