Dauphin County Teen Becomes First Pennsylvania Army National Guard Recruit To Enlist In Helicopter Flight School Program:

A midstate teen is the first recruit in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard to enlist in a unique program known as "streets to seats" or "high school to flight school."

Pennsylvania Guard Conducts Medical Cold-Load Training In Africa:

Combat medics from the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team who are deployed to the Horn of Africa conducted joint medical evacuation cold-load training aboard a KC-130J aircraft with U.S. Air Force personnel.

Fort Indiantown Gap To Receive $1.55 Million For Machine Gun Range:

Fort Indiantown Gap will receive $1.55 million in federal funding to construct a 10-lane multi-purpose machine gun range.

PA Soldiers' And Sailors' Home Celebrates Congressional Medal of Honor Day:

The Medal of Honor is the highest award presented to American military members who distinguished themselves by Acts of Valor in combat. Across the country people are celebrating Congressional Medal of Honor Day. 

You Can Get An "Honoring Our Women Veterans" License Plate:

2024 American Legion Women PA Veterans Retreat:

The American Legion Women PA Veterans retreat, open to all women veterans, provides them with the time and space to share their unique stories, build comradery and offer and receive support. The event is scheduled for April 5-7, 2024, at the White Sulphur Springs Retreat Center in Bedford County. A number of activities have been planned as well, including hiking, horseback riding and arts and crafts.
