The Real Estate Tax Exemption program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) and provides real estate tax exemption to any honorably discharged veteran who is 100 percent disabled, a resident of the commonwealth and has a financial need.

Donate To Support Pennsylvania Veterans' Memorial:

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) reminds Pennsylvanians that this is a great time to give to programs that support the commonwealth's veterans, active military and their families. Located at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Lebanon County, and maintained by the DMVA, the Pennsylvania Veterans' Memorial is the first in the commonwealth to honor veterans of all eras from the Revolutionary War forward and it is the largest veterans memorial located in any of the national cemeteries. Donations are accepted online or by mail to help fund the maintenance and repair of the memorial.

Lebanon High School Welcomes Junior ROTC Demonstration:

Cadets with the Junior ROTC program organized a demonstration of military services for the student body. The National Guard flew in a helicopter, the Army provided a tactical vehicle and the Marines brought in a working K9, all to give students an appreciation of military service.

Pa. Wilds Center Seeks Full Environmental Impact Statement For Proposed Low-Level Flights:

PA Department Of Corrections Seeks Plumbing Trade Instructor:

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill is actively seeking a devoted and passionate plumbing trade instructor. You will be providing on-the-job training and shop instruction for the vocational training of inmates and instruction in the areas of general plumbing maintenance, preventative plumbing maintenance, and installation of new plumbing fixtures and equipment. You will be planning and assigning work to inmates receiving plumbing training and reviewing and inspecting work in progress and upon completion.

CompeerCorps Plans Annual Warrior Motorcycle Run For Armed Forces Day:

Area motorcyclists and other riders will experience an enjoyable ride, while raising funds for CompeerCorp, an organization dedicated to providing friendship to veterans and improving mental health. The 75-mile route includes five stops, starting at American Legion Post 910 in Lickdale and ending at American Legion Post 883 in Jonestown. Registration fee is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger.
