DMVA Announces Erie-Area Veteran Event Providing Information To Veterans On The PACT Act:

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) will hold an in-person discussion called “Let’s Talk, Vet 2 Vet” on the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at VFW Post 470, 180 West 26th St., Erie, PA 16508. The event will also be available by phone to ensure accessibility for Pennsylvania’s more than 700,000 veterans – the fourth largest veteran population in the nation.

Tax Savings, Emergency Assistance And Other Benefits For Veterans With Brian Natali:

In part two of the Voice & Vision Untold Valor podcast with Brian Natali, the Chief of the Division of Veterans Services and Programs for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs sheds light on some of the essential services available to veterans. He discusses the intricacies of real estate tax exemptions, explains the Veterans Temporary Assistance program, and highlights Military Family Relief Assistance Program resources. Cumberland County Theater To Host Advance Screening Of Mending The Line:

Allenberry Playhouse Theater is hosting the premier showing of the film Mending the Line, a story about a veteran with PTSD who finds healing and joy through fly fishing. There will be a panel discussion afterward with director Joshua Caldwell and active and retired service members who are alumni of the Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation program. The event is free for veterans, $25 for the general public, with proceeds going to the foundation.
