Women's History Month:

In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the Pennsylvania National Guard created a series of “Warrior Women’s Wednesday” videos, to be presented each Wednesday in March. The intent is to highlight female soldiers and airmen to briefly touch on several topics that impact female veterans and service members – such as mentorship, health and fitness, female veteran benefits and resources and also what you, the viewer can do to continue to be part of the solution in helping to advance the role of women in the military.

State Rep. Jared Solomon, D-Phila., announced that he’s been appointed chair of the PA House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee. Solomon is a former Army Reserve JAG officer who said he has a special interest in the well-being of Pennsylvania's veterans.

Veterans Leadership Program To Host Pittsburgh Career Fair:

Veterans will have the opportunity to meet with the talent acquisition teams from companies such as Bayer, Highmark Health, Home Helpers, Pittsburgh International Airport, and Swank Corporation. The event is scheduled for March 24 from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Veterans Leadership Program office located at 2934 Smallman St. in Pittsburgh. Pre-registration is requested.
