Adjutant General Recognizes 31 DMVA Employees And PNG Members For Extraordinary Service To The Commonwealth, Nation:
Thirty-one Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) employees and Pennsylvania National Guard (PNG) members were recognized for their extraordinary service to veterans and citizens across the commonwealth and nation. The ceremony took place as part of Pennsylvania National Guard and Veterans Day at the State Capitol, an event to raise awareness and support for both the DMVA and PNG.

An EC-130J Commando Solo aircraft from the 193rd Special Operations Wing performs a flyover during Community Days at the Lancaster Airport in Lititz, PA, Sept.17, 2022. Local Combat Veteran Helps Fellow Vets Reconnect With Nature As Part Of Effort To Reduce Number Of Suicides:

Every day a staggering number of veterans die by suicide nationwide, and combat veteran Ryan Bowman says VA medical centers and clinics are simply not enough. Bowman started the Pennsylvania Outdoor Veterans nonprofit group in 2015 to reduce the number of veteran suicides through outdoor recreational therapy. The organization opened its first location in Carbon County.

Keven Wilson started his trip at the Pentagon on Aug. 24, 2022 with the mission to walk the entire 1,300 miles of the September 11 National Memorial Trail. The trail goes through the 9-11 memorial in Shanksville, Manhattan and the Pentagon.

The center admitted its first patient on Sept.15,1947, a World War II veteran who had contracted malaria in the South Pacific theater. The Medical Director and CEO Robert W.
