Keystone State Challenge Academy Holds Crossover Ceremony:
A Crossover Ceremony was held for the Keystone State Challenge Academy inaugural class - recognizing 20 young men and women who have spent two weeks working hard and preparing to become official cadets. The Academy is operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA).
DMVA Officials Address Pennsylvania Veterans Waiting More Than A Year For Federal Records:
Brig. Gen. (PA) Maureen Weigl, deputy adjutant general, veterans affairs, Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) joined Indiana County Director of Veteran Affairs Allen Lockard in a hearing to address the systemic issue of how long veterans wait for military records requested from the federal government.

Statement From VA Secretary Denis McDonough On The Passage Of The PACT Act:
Yesterday, the Senate passed S.3373 - Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act of 2022 (The Honoring our PACT Act of 2022). Once signed by the President the PACT Act will expand VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.

Governor Wolf Announces Phoenix Tube Expansion, Creating 30 New Manufacturing Jobs In Bethlehem:
Governor Tom Wolf announced that Phoenix Tube Co., Inc., a leading manufacturer of stainless-steel products, is expanding its operation in Bethlehem, Northampton County. This expansion will allow the company to create and retain at least 165 total jobs. The company is adding a new production line to manufacture small diameter stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloy pressure tubing by constructing a 52,000-square-foot facility adjacent to its existing facility.

Association Of The United States Army And US Field Artillery Association To Host Golf Tournament:
The Keystone chapters of the Association of the U.S. Army and U.S. Field Artillery Association are hosting a golf tournament on Aug. 19, 2022 at Mayapple Golf Course, in support of their various programs.
